This project took place at a private waterfront residence located outside downtown Seattle. The homeowners, a Japanese-American gentleman and his wife originally from Okinawa, also own a second home in Hawaii and value coastal living.
While the location offers a spectacular view, the property’s cliffside position also presented a security challenge. One section of the roof facing the cliff could serve as a foothold for potential intruders.
